TRAILER PARK
Never ones to enter a
cinema late, chatting away, forgettting to turn our mobiles
off, blocking people’s views and generally being a pain in the
arse, we do love watching the trailers, giving us a taste of
what’s to come. In fact, in some cases, the trailers are
better than the films they’re advertising. If you take
yourself over to http:www.apple.com/trailers/ (and
download Quicktime if you don’t have it already), you can view
all the latest trailers for the most eagerly awaited films
around, from the four different Star Wars II: Attack Of The
Clones trailers, to ones for everything from Spider- Man and
The Hulk (and we don’t know about the Hulk himself, but the
guy who plays Bruce Banner looks like a real hottie) to
Cameron Diaz comedy The Sweetest Thing to Disney’s newie, Lilo
& Stitch, which we just have to see. Most of the trailers
on the site are viewable in either small, medium and large
formats (and some in broadband if you have the facilities) and
each can be downloaded in under a minute. |
| HOMEPAGE OF THE
WEEK

One of the
best things about the Net is that it’s all about freedom - the
freedom of information, the freedom to express yourself, and
of course the freedom to be as naughty as you like. Two guys
who have taken the latter option to heart are Alan and Alan, a
couple whose website is crammed with candid pictures of them
and their mates having some very adult fun in their Brighton
flat. Log on to http://bnskin.com and you could potentially join them for
one of their gatherings (at which it looks like you’d get
given a lot more than a bit of cheese and pineapple on a
stick...), or just have a look at what they’ve been up to -
which is pretty much everything, by the looks of it!
PERSONAL
TRAINERS
With the number of sportskit nights there are out
there, it’s clear that to a lot of boyz there’s nothing
better than a sexy lad in trainers (and often nothing
but). And, if they log on to http://www.sneaker-lads.com/ they’ll
be spoilt for pictures (there’s over 185 galleries
of photos) of horny lads in sneakers, skate shoes,
soccer kit, and slightly more unusually, Timberlands
and Base loafers. I went into the visitors’ gallery,
which has an impressive selection of pics, although
in that gallery the guys’ most important bits are
covered by referee-style yellow cards (did they commit
handball or something...?). It does however give you
a good taste of the full experience you can expect
if you become a member for just $18 dollars for 60
days’ membership. Before long, it won’t just be the
footballers who’ll be dribbling...
CAN WE
TALK?
Following the recent sell-out dates of her Broke And
Alone In London tour (with more to come in June),
you can get a fix of Joan Rivers’ legendary wit at
her official site at http://www.joanrivers.com Here you can find out how Joan got to
be one of the funniest female comedians ever, or if
you’re of that frame of mind, buy some of Joan’s costume
jewellery (although I’d steer clear of that naff Stars
and Stripes Fabergé-style egg pendant...) or best
of all dip into Joan’s Joke Archive, where you can
find jokes on everything under the sun (example: ’Last
night’s Academy Awards were so long, Haley Joel Osment
went through puberty!‘). It’s a really well-designed
site, with cute caricatures of Joan, and is well worth
a visit if you need a laugh.
SUPERHOMOS
What with Superman’s relationship with
Lois Lane, Spider-Man’s with Mary-Jane and Batman’s
with Catwoman and Vicki Vale (although we always wondered
about him and Robin...), you might be forgiven for
thinking all superheroes are of the hetero variety.
Not so, according to Gay League, the home on the Web
for gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgendered comics fans and creators.
Active from this Wednesday 15 May at http://www.gayleague.com the site
first started thanks to gay comics fans chatting in
AOL chatrooms, who wanted to start their own site.
Among other things, there’s a rundown of ’out‘ gay,
lesbian, bisexual and transgendered comics characters
(there have been quite a few, even if they’ve not
always been that prominent) and their histories, as
well as of gay comic creators. You can also join up,
and correspond with your fellow gay comics fans, who
are more plentiful than you might think.
IT’S A DOG’S
LIFE
It’s quite something to regularly hang
around with the likes of Chloë Sevigny, Lucy Liu and
Drew Barrymore, especially if you’re a real dog. In
the case of Mutley however, he really is a dog - a
terrier from Champagne who was bought from a flea
market and taken to the bright lights of Paris, whereupon
he’s found himself walking the catwalks (maybe that
should be changed to dogwalks...?), appearing on television, working
as the British Elle Paris correspondant, and regularly
appearing in Vogue. Just go walkies to his home page
at http://www.mutleydog.com and you can find out more about this celebrity
canine, who’s about to star in a movie, The Dog That
Ate Paris, alongside Jodie Kidd. Just check out the
number of celebrities Mutley’s been pictured with,
and read up on all the gossip he’s picked up on the
Paris pavements.
